The Courtyard at Avila Beach is a mixed use commercial and high-density residential complex located only seconds from the Pacific's sandy beaches along California's Central Coast. The Courtyard encompasses 10 residential and 6 commercial units in downtown Avila Beach.
Throughout the years, Avila Beach has become a throwback to earlier times, with a uniquely fun, funky and eclectic theme. These very words were used by the County of San Luis Obispo in their Specific Plan for Avila Beach. The Courtyard was planned and built with this architectural statement in mind, and the resulting structures embrace these ideas. The actual “Courtyard” features 18 feet high fountain waterfalls, corkscrew spiraling staircases, fun colors and eclectic designs, an architect’s dream.
The gated Courtyard, with its proximity to the Pacific, was built atop a monolithic poured concrete slab which forms the foundation. It also boasts a secured underground parking structure. When poured in 2005, it was the largest private concrete foundation and parking structure of its kind in San Luis Obispo County.
